This position will be responsible for the communications activities for one or more of the divisions reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will report into the COO Communications function. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing communications activities from concept to implementation, ensuring effective and timely messaging to all levels of employees.
Serve as the client manager for one or more divisions; responsible for assessing the business needs of this client and designing and implementing timely and effective communications strategies to help meet those needs and the needs of the company. (25%)
Manage the development of a variety executive, company-wide, and intradepartmental communications materials, such as presentations, talking points, FAQs, newsletters, web sites, executive and employee memos, reference materials, and comm. campaigns. (25%)
Provide communications counsel to officers and senior management and develop their executive speeches, talking points, presentations, memos to staff, etc. (25%)
Act as the primary liaison to Corporate Communications to collaborate on corporate-wide or external activities, including use of Intranet site (HomeSite). Also coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization, including Legal and Senior Management of Business Units. (15%)
Oversee the creation, leveraging, and/or maintenance of the communications tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Intranet Site, General E-mail boxes, document templates, etc. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 7 years professional experience within a Communications or Marketing function
Bachelor's degree preferred
At least 2 years of management and supervisory experience
Knowledge of mortgage or financial services industries a plus
Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Awareness of Microsoft SharePoint or Documentum and Web design, content, and usability, preferably Dreamweaver and/or Interwoven's TeamSite
