Sr. Financial Analyst

Our growing company is currently seeking a Sr. Financial (GAAP) Analyst for our corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee.

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:

Under general direction, responsible for conducting and documenting complex accounting and financial analysis projects and ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting process.  The Sr. Financial (GAAP) Analyst will assist with preparation and review of external financial reporting data and statements.  May provide functional advice or training to less-experienced financial analyst or accounting positions.


Position Qualifications:

Education:  Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance

 

Experience Target (in this job or a related function/field):  5+ years, reporting or accounting experience.

 

Skills: 

Accounting technical expertise, including research, applying appropriate/consistent accounting treatment, consolidations/eliminations, financial statement preparation, equity accounting and exposure to foreign currency translations.  Strong system skills, including prior experience with data extractions and ability to work across diverse financial systems (Lawson, Seibel, etc.).  Proficiency with Excel and Access including links, macros, database development and forms.  Strong communication skills.  Strong analytical skills.

 

Knowledge/Abilities: 

Strong technical accounting knowledge.  Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements.  Ability to analyze new accounting pronouncements a plus.  Ability to document processes and policies Attention to detail.  Commitment to deadlines.  .  Ability to provide leadership across own department and others? departments.

 

Special Certifications:  MBA or CPA a plus

 

Travel Required:  Little to none
