Sr. Financial Analyst/Finance Manager

3PARdata, Inc, a pre-IPO company headquartered in Fremont, CA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is highly technical and analytical and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.? The successful candidate should be both a strategic thinker and a highly detail-oriented person.? This position will have a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis.? Core responsibilities include the following:

Yearly, quarterly and monthly financial budget and planningCreate and enhance financial planning and analysis models in Cognos and Excel.?The forecasting areas include sales, COGS, expenses, capital expenditure, financing, balance sheet and cash flows.Coordinate with internal business partners to support departmental management reporting requirements? Monthly variance analysis for financial statements (BS, IS, CF) and functional department scorecardsMake recommendation for business and financial process improvement? Provide ad hoc reports as needed



Experience and Skills:
Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, CPA/MBA preferredExperience in Cognos modeling is highly preferred (Hyperion modeling experience is also a plus) 5-10 years of experience in the FP&A function, preferably in high-tech industryExcellent technical financial modeling and analysis skillsSelf-starter with strong problem solving and analytical skillsMust demonstrate interpersonal skills, ability to influence and communicate effectively across various functions in highly dynamic organizationStrong communication skills
