Sr. Financial Analyst, Program Control

Job Description: Program Control Senior Analysts perform financial reconciliation and reporting, process financial transactions and track time and expenses. They also assist with the preparation of contract reporting. Analysts perform and monitor BearingPoint internal financial accounting processes and perform special assignments for engagement executives (e.g., ad hoc reporting, trend analysis, costing and forecasting).

Responsibilities:

1. Provide first level of review of Contract set-up in system with proper Revenue Recognition classification
2. Prepare monthly and ad-hoc program analysis of billings, financial forecast changes, and contract adjustments
3. Direct assistance in generating spend plans, estimates to complete, estimates at complete, and client proposals.
4. Track and report time report expenses and other BearingPoint expenses. Regularly review expense budgets. Follow-up and report on questionable or invalid expenses and variances to expense budgets.
5. Assist/prepare BearingPoint (and subcontractor) bill to client based upon contractual requirements and engagement status. Process bill in BearingPoint financial systems.
6. Prepare, submit and monitor Accounts Payable payment requests to Support Services.
7. Assist with ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance.
8. Serve as first point of contact for MD's and project managers on any question related to project charges.
9. Assist with forecast management activities (input collection, processing and report creation)
10. Track subcontractor spend plans, processes accruals as appropriate.
11. Assist with contract shutdown activities (prepare final bill to client, close project numbers, etc.).
12. Supervise Program Control analysts
13. Responsible for EVMS reporting on PS contracts

3+ years of work experience including:
o Reconciliation
o Invoice preparation
o Tracking and reporting on Accounts Receivables
o Processing financial transactions
o Preparing financial reporting packages
o Preparing ad-hoc analysis and reports

Requirements:
o 4+ years of experience with finance and accounting fundamentals
o 4+ years experience with multiple types of Professional Service contracts, including Time and Material, Fixed Price and Cost Plus contracts
o 4+ years experience with GAAP accounting; including experience with revenue recognition
o 2+ years experience with MS Office Programs (Excel and Access)
o Experience working with large, geographically dispersed teams; strong staff management and mentoring skills
o 2+ years experience working between client sites and ability to travel and work out of town for extended periods of time, as required.
o Must have college degree in Accounting with Finance degree with 12 credit hours of Accounting and two-four years of experience in a Program Accounting role
o 4+ years experience with professional services and/or government contracts.
