Sr. Financial Analyst/SLED

Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst-State, Local and Higher Education:

We are looking for exceptionally bright and motivated people to join our Corporate Finance Team

Location: Mclean, Va.

Travel: less than 25%

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide financial analysis and support to the controller of State, Local and Higher Education team in the following areas: planning, budgets, forecasts, valuation, and variance.
Review client contracts for potential revenue recognition issues.
Apply GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley standards to project and forecast accrued revenue.
Utilize MS Office/financial system knowledge to prepare P&L analysis and forecasts.
Analyze detail of the ledgers/sub ledgers and present solutions.

Position Specific Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of prior work experience in Finance/Accounting
General accounting systems experience to include: reconciliations and research.
At least 3 years P&L and variance analysis experience.

Preferred requirements:
CPA
Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
Experience in data query, Business Objects experience a plus
