Sr. Manager of Finance, Program Control

Job Description: Sr Program Control Mgrs work with client and engagement executives to meet their needs for Financial Management and SARBOX and GAAP Compliance. Sector Progam Controllers also work with Program Control Managers to perform Quality Assurance and promote consistent and best practices across all sector contracts. The Sector Program Controller provides program financial leadership to program control team supporting sectors within our Lines of Business (LOB.) This includes defining financial management processes and reporting; trend and variance analysis; and establishing key performance indicators and engagement metrics.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and participate in preparation monthly and ad-hoc program analysis of billings, financial forecast changes, and contract adjustments
2. Coaching project managers with accounting concepts applicable to their projects.
3. Monitor and manage Program Control teams in the Sector
4. Implement and monitor Program Control standards across Sector
5. Provide management and mentoring for Program Control resources in Sector
6. Trains, mentors and leads program control staff members. Performs a full range of managerial duties for those employees under supervision, including recruitment, salary administration, performance reviews and career development.
7. Participate in contract kick-off meetings, bid planning meetings, team meetings, off-sites, quarterly contract reviews, as required. Prepare "what-if" scenarios.
8. Define/establish internal and program control processes: identify requirements, responsibilities, Revenue Recognition requirements, and develop financial reporting package.
9. Establish engagement financial management tools: select tools and manage development and implementation, including processes to use the tools.
10. Analyze key metrics, support monthly financial reviews with engagement teams, and advise Line of Business management in decision making.
11. Perform Quality Assurance reviews on Sector contracts with Engagement teams and Project Control teams.
12. Manage financial forecasting processes.
13. Ensure compliance to BearingPoint financial policies and procedures, provide support to external financial audits, SARBOX internal audits, and statutory and customer audits.
14. Direct interface with Industry Sector Assistant Controllers

Qualifications:
o 7-10 years of program accounting/management experience with a track record of increasing responsibilities and supervision
o Demonstrated financial management expertise and expert knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
o Expertise and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
o Prior professional services and/or government contract experience required
o Program/project management skills and experience
o Excellent analytical, organizational & multi-tasking skills
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Frequent interaction with senior management personnel
