Sr. Payroll Accountant

The YAI/NIPD Network, an affiliation of seven award-winning not for profit health and human services agencies serving people with developmental disabilities and their families, is accepting applications for the position of Senior Payroll Accountant. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills as well as a proven track record in a high volume, deadline oriented environment.

Responsibilities
? Responsible for maintaining and updating all Payroll information in the ADP PC Payroll for Windows system.
? Responsible for the working knowledge of maintaining and updating all Payroll information in ADP PC Payroll for Windows system.
? Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing new hires, permanent and temporary wage adjustments, terminations, banking, garnishments and miscellaneous personnel changes.
? Answer telephone inquiries relating to all companies in the YAI/NIPD Network.
? Assist in the entry of Paydata batches.
? Paycheck distribution detail for all companies when available.
? Preparing remittances for third party vendors relating to voluntary payroll deductions (i.e., TDA, flexible spending accounts, transit, etc.).
? Perform the download and compile payroll journal entries into the SQL system.
? Providing all information and materials requested for semi-monthly internal audits.
? Respond to employment verification requests and other income related inquiries from external agencies and organizations.
? Perform special projects upon request by upper management.

Requirements
? Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
? Minimum of 5-10 years payroll experience in a large corporation.
? ADP PCPayroll for Windows.
? ADP Reportsmith.
? Kronos Time and Attendance preferred.
? Microsoft Excel and Word.

Salary
? Commensurate with education and experience.
