Sr. Reporting Consolidations Accountant

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Perform a wide variety of financial accounting functions that ensure the proper recording and reporting of amounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position supports the technical reporting function. Prepares detailed balance sheet account analyses. Maintains complex accounts including but not limited to hedge contracts, accumulated comprehensive income, pension liability, and other post-retirement employee benefits liability. Assists in analyzing and ensuring accuracy of these accounts. Prepares consolidated financial statements, footnotes, supplementary disclosures, and selected subsidiary financial statements and accumulates supporting documentation. Produce reports and financial analyses on ad hoc basis. Prepares and posts assigned journal entries. Plays a significant support role during the annual audit pertaining to procurement of and preparation of audit work papers. Assists in evaluating the impact of emerging technical accounting pronouncements on existing financial statement and footnote disclosures, and incorporates required modifications/additions to the existing presentation.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, or business-related field or an equivalent combination work experience, training and education. CPA required.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have demonstrated financial work experience, extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and related theory. Demonstrated skills using PC-based spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint); FinGate (Outlook Soft). Demonstrated reliability
through excellent attendance/punctuality record and satisfactory work performance history.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in preparing formal consolidated financial statements with accompanying footnote disclosures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles is strongly preferred.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent written and
verbal communications skills.

Salary/Pay Rate: $40.00 + per hour
