Senior Security Analyst


Responsibilities


As a senior member of the Customer Service Security Operations Team, you will assist in developing and maintaining secure operational business practices for CS personnel.

Train and mentor new employees as a senior level resource regarding operational business practice and policy.

Provide technical and administrative support to internal organizations and business partners.
Document and drive projects relating to ongoing CS security related initiatives and operations.

Act as an escalation point to specific internal proprietary tools while following predefined escalation paths and documentation.

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining effective and efficient operational practices.

Handles incoming phone calls from the Global Services field representatives. Work hours comprise shift patterns, weekends, holidays and overtime as required to cover a 24 X 7 period.


Experience and Education:



Strong familiarity with Windows and UNIX operating systems, and various network hardware including switches, routers, load balancers, reverse proxy, VPN concentrators as well as encryption and two-factor authentication systems.

Strong familiarity with open network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, etc.)

Strong working knowledge of support center practices

Working knowledge of industry standard encryption protocols and methodology.

Comfortable interfacing with internal EMC and business partners on a daily basis while providing support to their ongoing security related business needs.

Ability to research and communicate new/existing Security Regulations that apply to EMC's Customer Service operations around the globe.

Working knowledge of EMC proprietary suite of remote tools and the ability to learn and master newly developed tools.

Ability to derive real concern and quickly assess areas for immediate focus.

Implements, escalates procedures in a timely manner to appropriate personnel as directed by established process and CS management.

Ensures group follows written and verbal standard operating procedures and schedule.
