Sr Staff Accountant - Sarbanes Oxley Team Lead

Looking to use your Sarbanes Oxley experience in an exciting and growing company? ADP Dealer Services Division has a position for a senior accountant to be the lead role in the Sarbanes Oxley Team.  Your main functions will be to coordinate SOX compliance, along with establishing and developing the internal audit function. Responsibilities include:

* Execute and develop project plans for Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 internal control testing and certification.

* Perform quarterly section 302 reviews for CEO and CFO certification.

* Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as the key liaison between the division and the Corporate Project Management Office.

 

Monthly Activities:

1. Serve as the project lead for Sarbanes Oxley 404 implementation reviews and perform audit planning and analysis of business and operational risks.

2. Participate in Sarbanes Oxley implementation efforts for all twelve business process cycles (revenue, purchasing, etc.) and be able to assess any risks associated with the key processes.

3. Perform audit fieldwork and testing of internal controls, identify weaknesses in internal controls, and provide recommendations to Senior Management.

4. Update and maintain the Control Effectiveness Summary Report (CESR) on a monthly basis.

5. Maintain Risk Control Tracking System (RCTS) and ensure that the system is capturing and reporting any gaps or deviations in internal controls appropriately.  Generate reports for Senior Management with regards to internal controls.

7. Assist with Compensating Controls and Gap Remediation by implementing necessary internal control enhancements, where applicable.

8. Assist with Financial Policy and Procedure manual for Dealer Services. Implement as required.

9. Provide assistance with financial systems projects as needed.

10. Provide training for new employees for all acquisitions within the first quarter of the acquisition.

 

On a quarterly basis, you will be performing section 302 reviews for CEO and CFO certification; developing the audit plan and providing recommendations on internal control enhancements to Senior Management. In addition, you will interface with SME(s) to determine if there have been any changes in the control environment.  Annual responsibilities will be to report and discuss the overall effectiveness of internal controls with Senior Management and implement improvements.  This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and Policy and is located in our Hoffman Estates, IL divisional headquarters.



 





Top candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, plus 3 to 4 years experience in auditing (through a public accounting or internal audit environments.)  Experience with Section 404 and Section 302 of Sarbanes Oxley are required, along with SARBOX reporting.  CPA is a plus. ? Experienced in project management. ?Experience with Oracle 11i or similar type system is a plus, and flowcharting skills would be helpful.  Other necessary skills: a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management; self motivation taking full ownership of all assignments; excellent business sense; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.  Must be open to travel 15% - 20%.
