General Job Summary

 

This individual is responsible for ensuring financial information and records are accurate, consistent and timely.  Primarily responsible for providing support to the Finance team in the functions related to  coordinating month/year end close, including annual audit.

 

Job ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly financial statementsTrial balance and general ledger accounting, journal entriesMonth end close: JE?s and financial statementsSupervise Internet and Internet Advertising (AR) billings and collectionsPrepare quarterly sales tax returnsPublication and supplies inventoryCoordinate annual audit Compliance w/GAAPFixed Assets

 

Required Skills, Attributes & EducationBachelor?s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three years in accounting maintenance related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.  Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization. High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing and database software and/or business systems (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, other graphic software).  Ability to understand ?big-picture? concepts, and use reporting/query tools. Heavy journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation, budget analyses.
