You'll be working with a visible and accessible management team. We need a talented individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant for Whitehall Jewellers, Inc.. In this position, you will be the one who ensures the integrity of accounting information; prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries; maintains and balances subsidiary accounts and general ledger; summarizes financial status; produces payroll; supports external audit.

Qualifications

Proficient in use of accounting systems, implementation of corporate financial practices, and analysis of financial and operating information for management to facilitate decision-making.


Working knowledge of applicable FASB accounting rules.

Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.

Exhibits meticulous attention to detail. Is committed to producing accurate and high-quality work.

Conscientiously and methodically approaches work. Sees tasks through to completion.

Handles complex problems effectively. Separates key issues and generates multiple solutions.

GL, Cash Management, and/or Audit experience strongly desired.

Advanced Excel Spreadsheet and Access Database experience required. As/400 and JD Edwards experience a plus.

Can be trusted to keep sensitive information secure.

BS in Accounting or related field.

CPA strongly preferred.
