Staff Accountant, AR

GSI Commerce provides an e-commerce solution enabling retailers, branded manufacturers, entertainment companies and professional sports organizations to operate e-commerce businesses. The company's e-commerce solution includes Web site design and development, e-commerce technology, managed hosting, order fulfillment, customer service, merchandising and order management, online merchandising, customer relationship management, content development and online marketing. The company operates either all or a portion of the e-commerce businesses for approximately 45 partners. GSI Commerce trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the symbol, GSIC.

Maintain Accounts Receivable module and reconcile to General Ledger.

Assist in monthly and annual financial close process by originating and recording journal entries, reviewing results, etc. for revenue related activity.

Create invoices for Group Sales and Partner and B2B billings .

Coordinate with other departments the information required for closing process.

Prepare monthly detailed account analysis.

Assist with management requests and other special projects as needed.

Responsible for reviewing and maintaining proper reconciliation with End to End Balancing (shipments to cash).

Assist with implementation of Accounts Receivable module, including interfacing with G/L and JDA.

Responsible for development, documentation, and implementation of A/R accounting policies and procedures.

Assist with implementation of PeopleSoft AR/billing module.

Collection of past due invoices.

Perform credit checks and validate purchase orders for term sales.

B.S. in Accounting or Finance
2-3 years of general accounting or relevant experience.
Proficiency with MS Excel and Access.
Excellent organization, analytic, and communication skills

Desirable Requirements:
JDA or AS/400 experience a plus.
Peoplesoft or Oracle experience a plus.
Previous experience with credit checks a plus
