Staff Accountant, Costing

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the financial management of Digital River's eCommerce clients.  This includes ad hoc reporting, creating revenue journal entries and preparing Balance Sheet account reconciliations while working with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.  The Staff Accountant prepares, analyzes and validates revenue and COGS amounts and determines client payments.  The successful candidate will also interact with the Sales Support and Product Development areas of Digital River.  This is a very detailed, and "hands on" position.
 
Responsibilities:

prepare client sales reporting and payment
prepare monthly revenue journal entries and reconciliations
ensure GAAP compliance with regards to revenue recognition and reporting
adherence to company policy standards and SOX reporting requirements
perform other duties as required
Key Qualifications:
Experience

minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience and the desire
system experience is strongly desirable, preferably with Navision
Knowledge/Skills

ability to quickly acquire the in-depth knowledge of all the business and financial models, projects and multi-currency structures of the company for GAAP, statutory and tax reporting
proven ability to get results in a complex, fast-paced environment
possess excellent attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask
Education

4 year degree in Finance or Accounting
