Staff Accountant - (ED10286)

Summary:
The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Manager of Finance in developing, maintaining, and analyzing financial information for the Operations group, as well as identifying significant cost and production variances within the fulfillment process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
?Prepare daily Key Operations Report and Performance Reports, including updating the data for quarterly projection data. Prepares monthly Payroll reconciliation and monthly subsidiary and 3rd party invoices.

?Prepare monthly Operations incentive compensation schedule.

?Assist Finance Manager and Controller and all levels of Operations Management with preparation of budgets and financial projections.

?Assists in reviewing the operations financial results with the Virginia Beach Management group.

?Assists the Operations Controller and the Corporate Finance Department in the review of general ledger information and in month-end adjustments and closing procedures.

?Identifies internal control, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements in various areas of operations.

?Completes special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager and Controller

?Assumes the Finance Manager's responsibilities in his/her absence.

?Assist the Accounting and Accounts Payable departments.

?Performs other duties as assigned/

Internal Contacts (within the Company):
Has contact with all departments in the Operations Group, as well as Corporate Finance

External Contacts:
External Auditors, Vendors and 3rd Party billing contacts

Education and/or Experience requirements:
B.S. in Accounting
Microsoft Office
General Ledger
