Accounting ActivitiesMaintain the books and records and assist in the administration of all Company Affiliates. Maintenance and reconciliation of account subsidiary ledgers. Calculation and maintenance of amortization of prepaid expenses including maintenance of standard journal entries. Assist with other general accounting duties for areas which may include fixed assets, investments, other real estate owned, mortgage, and maintenance of reconciliations.Reporting and Reconciliation ActivitiesPreparation of certain bank regulatory reports/schedules and compliance schedules for SEC. Prepare financial statements for certain Company Affiliates. Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts for all Affiliates. Research and follow through on outstanding items or missing documentation to ensure prompt and proper clearance of stale items.Benefit AccountingPrepare the periodic balancing and reconciliation of the profit sharing, pension, deferred compensation and healthcare plans as well as the periodic payroll and related general ledger accounts. Prepare funding to the various benefit plans and related general ledger entries. Participate in the administration of the equity based compensation plans. Assist in maintaining the accounting schedules of the deferred compensation plans and periodic internal review. Assist with accounting related special projects associated with the Company's benefit plans. Maintain procedures and internal controls related to above responsibilities.Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in general ledger maintenance and data entry as needed. Support the monthly and quarterly closing process. Support the budget process for all Affiliates as requested.


Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting. CPA designation desirable, but not required. 3 years accounting experience Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Access and Word). Excellent written and oral communication skills.
