 Qualifications

 Bachelor?s degree in Accounting2 - 4 years experience working in an accounting environmentExperience in the record, book or film industry a plusExperience with Platinum a plusComputer literate in Excel and WordAbility to disseminate and analyze financial dataStrong organizational/administrative skills  A proactive and take charge approach Responsibilities

 Close payables and run preliminary trial balance each month for the prior month?s activityPrepare and enter monthly journal entriesReview and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper ledger postingsResearch and prepare reclasses as neededGenerate and disburse final month end financial statement packageSupport VP Finance/Controller in preparation of budgets & forecasts. Gather and disseminate budget information from the labels & departments. Deal with various bank issues for the VP Finance/ControllerCompile, review and render weekly project budgets.  Post accruals and necessary reclasses by project.Enter and maintain project budgets that are included on project on project reportsParticipate in preparation of monthly/quarterly KELA statementsMaintain project number additions and rate cardsCalculate and enter manufacturing/print chargebacks to artistsHandle the accounts payable function under the direction of the VP Finance/ControllerAdministrate and review coding and approval of invoices for submission to accounts payable departmentGenerate aged payables report weekly or as neededEnter and pay priority invoices under direction of VP Finance/ControllerRespond to inquiries from vendors regarding past due invoices and requests for paymentsReconcile vendors accountsAddress and/or field finance related issuesMaintain customer databaseEnter Licensing/Premium invoices or creditsGenerate, review and modify accounts receivable aging under direction of VP Finance/ControllerAdministrate all aspects of accounting for our Broadway label Administrative/clerical projects as needed
