Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist

Summary

The Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist performs a variety of detailed accounting and collection duties in accordance with standard accounting procedures, and GAAP.? This position will understand and ensure company-wide compliance with all appropriate federal, state, and local laws.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBi-weekly payroll processingSales report cards and commission checksMonth end general ledger entriesCreating and implementing reporting needsDaily Booking and Shipment reportsProcess payments through lendersEnsure the provision of prompt and accurate communication of financial information to all the appropriate entities, as necessary, including state bodies and agencies, vendors, auditors, and managementResolve outstanding customer issues directly and indirectly by referring situations for resolution to the appropriate departmentsBack up Accounts Payable and Receivable

QualificationsMinimum of 3 years experience in general accounting including Payroll, A/P, and A/RBachelors Degree in Accounting preferredHigh level of customer service, servants heartStrong computer skills including intermediate to advance Excel ability - ADP or Great Plains a plusDetail oriented, organized, strong ability to multi-task and follow throughDesire to serve both internal and external customers with urgency and professionalismAbility to stay focused in a fast paced environment
