Staff Accountant - Real Estate

Staff Accountant needed for company with headquarters in southeast Boca Raton.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

 
Review settlement statements (HUDS) prior to closing (condos)
Coordinate resolution of closing issues including preparation of required amendments and assignments, calculation of delay fees, commission payments and realtor credits.
Prepare and maintain master sales schedules for condominium projects
Liaise with escrow and closing agents on the refund of letter of credit deposits, interest payments and other required funding.
Prepare month end closing entry for condominium projects
Track and reconcile escrow accounts for condominium projects, allocate interest
Prepare monthly sales tax returns
Process, pay corporate payables
Monthly invoicing (intercompany billbacks)
Copy all reimbursable invoices, project advance invoices, etc.
Bank reconciliations/deposits

 

Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years accounting preferably in the construction/development industry

 

Required Education:
2 Year accounting degree or equivalent experience

 

Required Skills:
Superior Excel skills required
QuickBooks Pro Accounting software necessary; Timberline accounting software highly desired;
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required

 

Salary:  $45,000 - $55,000
