Job Description: Challenging career position for Staff Accountant in growing mfg/distribution company. Position has been created due to growth. This position will be responsible for:Preparation of month-end closing entries in general ledger. Maintenance of fixed assets ledgers and depreciation entries. Reconciliation of cash accounts. Reconciliation of intercompany balances. Reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts. Analysis of profit and loss variances. Assist with and prepare schedules for year-end audit. Assist in preparation of taxes
Assist the senior accountant and cost accountant as needed on special projects. Help write departmental policies and procedures. Candidate requirements: BS/BA in Accounting. Firm knowledge of accounting concepts
Two years private or public accounting experience. Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented. Good attitude regarding work ethic and interaction with peers.
