Staff Auditor

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include conducting financial, performance and compliance audits in accordance with generally accepted and governmental auditing standards.  The Staff Auditor will interview key staff in the audited area, document findings, review financial, operating and compliance controls, document findings, prepare recommendations, and present the results of the audit orally and in writing to FHLBank management.

 

Qualifications:    Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor?s degree in accounting, plus 1 to 2 years of accounting or audit experience are required.  Knowledge of GAAP and governmental auditing standards is also required.  CPA, CIA or Certified Bank Auditor designation preferred. Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word required.  Knowledge of ACL software and Microsoft Access preferred. Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley section 404 preferred.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to interact with a broad range of FHLBank management and staff, as well as external auditors.
