Staff Auditor needed in DC area

 

USAC, a dynamic not-for-profit company in downtown DC, has an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Internal Auditor in a valued and visible Internal Audit Department.  The purpose of this position is to perform audits on contributors and beneficiaries of the $7 billion Universal Service Fund as well as process reviews of the administrative areas of USAC.

 

The successful candidate will have:

?  1 - 2 years direct work experience in internal audit or public accounting fields;

?  Experience as an independent worker who also functions effectively in a team environment;

?  Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

?  Prefer candidates with CPA, CIA, or CFE certification:

 

Responsibilities include:

?  Planning and performing compliance, financial and operational audit work in accordance with applicable audit standards.  Provide the necessary corrective recommendations when deficiencies are discovered;

?  Contribute to the growth and development of the Internal Audit Division;

?  Assist in other internal audit special projects as needed.
