Staff Internal Auditor

Tuesday Morning is a rapidly growing retailer with over 700 stores across the United States specializing in selling deeply discounted, upscale home accessories, gifts and apparel.



Due to our tremendous growth, we are adding a Staff Internal Audior to our Internal Audit Team. This position will be working in our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas reporting to the Director of Internal Audit.

 

Primary Duties:Work with the Director of Internal Audit to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements throughout the company, including documenting and testing internal controls. Perform financial, compliance and operational audits throughout the company as required. Assist in the development of audit programs and testing procedures.  Prepare clear and concise audit documentation, including draft findings with recommendations for improvement. Provide support for special projects as needed.

 

Skills Required:Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field. 1-2 years professinal experience in accouting, internal audit or external audit. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing concepts, techniques, and terminology (GAAP, COSO). Strong MS Office computer skills-Excel, Word, Power Point and Access.  Familiarity with ACL and automated workpaper programs is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize a variety of work assignments and projects and to work independently.
