Statutory Reporting Manager

Manager resposible for all Statutory report filings including quarterly & annual insurance department filings, Management's discussion & analysis, statutory audited reports, independent state insurance department filing requests and rating agency surveys.  Insurance companies include life & health, accident & health, and property & casualty reporting.  Maintain compliance to NAIC reporting standards.  Maintain and assist in update development of Assurant statutory reporting best practices.Maintain, coordinate & communicate statutory reporting calendar.  Research, interpret, communicate and implement new statutory reporting standards.  Monitor compliance with current reporting standards.Special projects as required.



4 year accounting degree and a CPA designation.

4 to 6 years Statutory financial reporting experience.

Public accounting experience preferred.

Managerial experience preferred.

Ability to work under strict reporting deadlines.

Strong technical & analytical skills.

High customer service skills.

Good oral & written communication.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Must be a team player.
