Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily activities of 3 professional accountants, including:
-Coaching, providing direction, and succession development.
-Monitoring work activities.
-Assisting with problems and follow up as necessary to ensure that work quality standards and planned schedules are maintained.

Process owner for the global consolidated monthly close cycle, including:
-Ensuring the timeliness of all trial balance submissions into SAP.
-Responsible for the coordination of all other accounting functions entries in the GL.
-Responsible for ensuring all consolidation, elimination, global tax, and equity transactions are accounted for and recorded in accordance with GAAP.
-Responsible for ensuring FX and CTA are recorded accurately and reconciled in accordance with GAAP.
-Responsible for the review, accuracy, and publication of the monthly financial statements.

Responsible for overseeing the Global Capital Asset function, including:
-Ensure capital assets are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
-Responsible for AFE review of all non-operation projects to ensure proper assignment of capital versus expense as well as all documentation required is provided in a clear and concise package.
-Responsible for overseeing the implementation of continuous process improvement which maximize SAP fixed asset and internal order module capabilities.

Assist the Accounting Manager and Controller with year-end activities including:
-Managing the year-end calendar and ensuring all trial balances, account reconciliations, and reports are received on time.
-Responsible for reviewing for accuracy and consistency all international account reconciliations for both audit and tax purposes.
-Responsible for the completion of the consolidated cash flow statement.
-Assist in the writing and editing of the final year-end financial statements and foot notes.
-Interact with and provide information to external auditors as needed.

Provide necessary support for an efficient GAAP process including:
-Ensuring adequate controls over accounts through reconciliation.
-Documentation of policy and procedure.
-Monitoring of module and activity access and company master records.

Required:
-Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance (or similar)
-CPA
-Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
-Proven supervisory skills
-Demonstrated leadership
-Minimum 7+ years experience in Accounting or Finance related positions
-Proven problem solving skills
-Experience working with large general ledger packages (SAP experience preferred)
-Knowledge and proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet programs
-Strong consolidation experience, preferably in a multi-national, multi-currency environment

Not required but preferred:
-Masters degree in Business
-SAP FI/CO and F/A experience strongly preferred
-Experience with multi-national environment
-Solid understanding of foreign exchange
-FAS 133
-Experience with a shared service company structure
-Research, analysis, and implementation of complex accounting issues within the company
