Job Description
Supervises and coordinates activities for processing time records, compiling payroll statistical reporting, maintaining payroll control records, calculating payrolls including union and sales incentives, and preparation of federal government and multi state report? Directs computation of pay according to company policy, union contracts, and government regulations.
? Determines and maintains appropriate system setup relating to taxable vs. non-taxable benefits and federal and state income tax withholdings.
? Interprets company policies and government regulations such as FLSA affecting payroll procedures.
? Directs preparation of government reports.
? Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy.
? Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
? Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, and consistent conformance to policies and procedures.
? Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
? Extracts payroll system information, compiles special reports, and assists with special projects.
? Maintains automated time keeping system.
? Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or directly related discipline and six years minimum related experience and/or training; must have payroll management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
