Systems Audit Senior (CIPS/TICE)

Job Description -- The Systems and Process Assurance (SPA) practice is an integral part of the PricewaterhouseCoopers audit team. Our Associate and Senior Associate professionals are responsible for assessing the internal control environment for accounting information systems and critical business processes at our clients and for delivering recommendations to management with respect to remediating deficiencies. Successful candidates will assist clients in preparing to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as well as performing audits to assess compliance with the Act. The position entails extensive communication at all levels of management within the client organizations we serve. Accordingly, strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Furthermore, chosen professionals will be required to prepare accurate and thorough business process documentation using flowcharting software, following our standard methodology. We are seeking professionals to work with clients in the high-technology, telecommunications and entertainment/media industries, as well as clients within the consumer and industrial product manufacturing sectors. Placement within the SPA practice as either an Associate or Senior Associate will be dependent upon cumulative work experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Technical training will be available for candidates who are accepted for the position.

Job Requirement Essential

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related field
2 to 5 years of full-time business experience, preferably in an accounting or financial reporting role
Fundamental understanding of accounting internal controls (familiarity with the COSO internal controls framework is preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability/willingness to travel extensively (both in-town and out-of-town)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credentials are preferred, but not required
Familiarity with any major accounting software package or financial system would be a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeoleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion, etc.)
