TS Accounting Advisory (Leasing)-Manager

Job Description -- The Transaction Services Accounting Advisory group is seeking a Manager with leasing expertise to advise corporations and private equity firms on a broad range of transactions used to achieve strategic objectives including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, alliances, outsourcing arrangements and lease financing transactions. Accounting Advisory provides real time advice to clients on the potential accounting and financial reporting impact such transactions can have, thereby supplying information for making strategic decisions and negotiating transaction terms.

Accounting Advisory also supports the financial statement audit through a quality control review of the lease transaction structure and documentation; early notice and expedited resolution of any potential accounting issues; and an in-depth understanding of how market perceptions, valuation concepts, legal and regulatory constraints, and income taxes relate to and influence accounting and financial reporting concerns. To keep members current on the latest leasing structures as well as new and proposed accounting rules, Accounting Advisory offers extensive training--both formal and on-the-job--and interaction with PwC's national leasing experts.

Job Requirement Essential
-------------------------
o 5-9 years of audit and accounting experience, or a combination of accounting and complex lease transaction experience (e.g. sale-leaseback transactions, build-to-suit transactions, synthetic leases, leveraged leases, etc.)
o Large public accounting firm background, with leasing or national office experience a plus
o Solid technical skills with a deep working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements, particularly in leasing
o Good business sense with the capacity to analyze complex transactions and uncover the key factors vital to reaching sound conclusions
o Ability to read and analyze complex lease documents
o Creative approach to problem solving
o Solid communication skills, including facility in making technical concepts understandable to clients, attorneys, other deal advisors and staff
