Tax Accountant/Analyst

POSITION BRIEF



Responsible for providing timely and high-quality research and analysis of economic incentives, credits and various tax research throughout the United States and preparation of applications/filings. This position requires the ability to manage projects in-house for senior Business and Economic Incentives (BEI) executive review and presentation to corporate executives and key political personnel.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES



?Research, interpret and understand various state, county and municipal incentive programs and tax savings opportunities throughout the country

? Prepare financial analysis used to estimate value of available incentives for decision making

? Establish and maintain ongoing communication with various state, county and municipal economic development personnel and key state tax contacts

? Work directly with The Staubach Company field offices and brokers throughout the country to help deliver client results and properly maintain client expectations

? Prepare various updates, reports and applications regarding economic development related opportunities for various localities; changes in incentives programs; and other necessary deliverables as assigned

? Prepare and develop client presentations

?Work with management to call on potential or existing clients to develop new business and retain or increase existing business

?Evaluate report requests and provide input on related design

?Perform other related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS



?Accounting degree; CPA preferred

?Minimum 3 years related work experience; experience and knowledge in commercial real estate preferred

?Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills

?Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

?Good research and analytical skills
