Tax Accounting Specialist

As the Tax Accounting Specialist, you will work closely with the Assistant Controller to review and maintain all of the Firm?s income tax accounting on a global level. In this highly-visible, diversified role, you will serve as subject matter expert to colleagues and participate in cross-functional, cross-departmental projects.

Responsibilities:


Prepare, compile and review GAAP requirements for all income tax accounting
Produce internal/external reports to support all applicable accounts
Act as the primary liaison with the Firm?s Tax Department and Tax Service Provider
Act as the primary liaison with external audit for quarterly and year end audits

Qualifications:


Bachelor?s degree in Accounting
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with income tax accounting and familiarity with FAS 109, APB 29, FIN 18 and all other income tax accounting authoritative literature
Experience with Big 4 and Sarbanes-Oxley preferred
CPA credentials
Strong knowledge of PC applications, specifically in Excel
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase is helpful
