Tax Analyst (SUTA)

We are seeking a Manager of Employment Tax Planning Analysis and Reporting to administer, maintain, and analyze State Unemployment accounts and the database repository as it relates to managing tax rates, analyzing client cost, and maintaining all related files/data used to accomplish this endeavor by performing the following duties: gather and analyze data (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to ensure complete and accurate SUTA GL reconciliation and profit/loss statement preparation, create and maintain the SUTA calendar (including agency deadlines for voluntary contribution buy-downs, expected publication of new employer rates and wage bases, rate protest deadlines, recurring inter-departmental data requests, and base filing deadlines), calculate voluntary contribution buy-downs and coordinate, research unemployment laws as necessary, coordinate data transfers with a third party consultant or internal department necessary for Earned Rate calculation on our client base, audit the company's SUTA filings, prepare annual Federal Unemployment tax returns, establish relationships with state agencies in order to confirm SUTA account integrity to ensure company accounts are not delinquent or have issues/refunds on file, resolve any outstanding items identified, serve as additional support for the company quarterly SUTA preparation and troubleshoot SUTA tax notices as necessary, maintain the company SUTA rates and core supportive data, coordinate the rate of the UI Claims Administration group to communicate and validate accuracy of benefit charge claims pursuant to state agency rate notices, perform special projects as assigned.

To be considered, candidates must have previous experience in a similar context. Any additional education and/or relevant experience would be beneficial.
