Tax Attorneys


The successful candidates will be responsible for providing transactional tax support to the downstream (refining, marketing and transportation) tax organization.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, a JD, and LLM.  Candidates must also be a Licensed Attorney. Two to three years of transactional experience including motor fuel and excise taxes, sales and use taxes, and property taxes is preferred for the less experienced Tax Attorney opening.  The more experienced position requires 7+ years tax law experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably downstream, with an emphasis in federal and state motor fuel excise taxes.  The successful candidate for this position will have experience in tax legislative analysis, tax policy development, as well as experience with transactional taxes.


Candidates must be self-starters who excel at working collaboratively toward results, and capable of coordinating and handling a variety of projects and assignments.  Computer proficiencies include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Westlaw/Lexis, CCH, and BNA Research Tools.
