As a member of E&Y'sFinancial ServicesAsset Management Tax practice, you will have the combination of deep tax knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of business drivers to serve your Hedge Fund clients to the best of your ability.

We currently have a career opportunity for a Manager in our Financial ServicesAsset Management Tax practice which assists clients in the areas of Investment and Hedge Funds and Private Equity. A strong background in partnership taxation is a requirement for this positon. Using cutting-edge technology and working with team-oriented colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing and analyzing client tax data used in the preparation and/or review of tax compliance products in addition toproviding clients with tax guidance and planning. Our people work on key client issues in domestic federal, international and state and local taxation, with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives

Responsibilities
Interface with clients and team members to secure tax data. Collect/convert tax compliance data into an electronic format. Formulate a plan to gather/communicate information to the client and complete accurate compliance products.

Review workpapers based on professional standards. Determine the accuracy/completeness of the compliance product, perform quality assurance procedures, and review the product for delivery.
Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services and work products. Supervise the work of Staff and Senior professionals.

Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts. Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management. Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.

Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Share tax planning ideas with others. Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals. Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have:

* Abachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable)
* CPA certification preferred
* Aminimum of 5 years of relevant partnership tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry
* Broad exposure to federal income taxation and taxation of financial products
* Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
