Bring your corporate tax preparation experience to Who?s Calling to ensure compliance with all corporate tax requirements and manage the tax return, filing and remittance processes.  You will act as tax resource to company personnel and primary contact for all governmental agency inquiries.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Prepare and/or coordinate the review and filing of all taxes, which include but not limited to:  federal, state and local income taxes, telecommunications taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes.

? Prepare quarterly and annual SFAS 109 calculations and estimated federal and state income tax payments.

? Research changes in federal, state, local, foreign tax and regulatory laws, evaluating their tax impact on the company.

? Manage and ensure compliance with all 50 state business registration filing requirements and all jurisdictions within each state.

? Perform analysis on and determine taxability of new and existing product offerings.

? Ensure client/vendor/3rd party contracts and internal marketing materials are in-line with Who?s Calling?s tax policy.

? Ensure telecom vendor invoices follow internal expectations/policy.

? Serve as the primary liaison on tax matters with governmental and external auditors.

? Conduct special tax projects, such as financial impact analyses, tax provisions and liability forecasts as well as projects in related areas.

? Obtain data to comply with IRS, state and local audit requests.

? Understand tax implications with regards to acquisitions.

? Provide support in reviewing new and existing tax, court cases, regulations and rulings to ensure minimization of the corporate tax burden.

? Provide recommendations and guidance to management and various departments regarding the tax requirements and implications associated with various activities. 

? Interview, hire and train employees, assign work, evaluate performance, address complaints, resolve problems, reward and discipline employees.

? Identify and implement tax savings opportunities.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting.

? Four (4)+ years direct tax preparation within a corporate environment and interaction with taxing authorities and strong knowledge with tax information reporting rules, sales and use tax issues.

? CPA license preferred but not required.

? Tax preparation in a Telecom environment strongly preferred.

? Strong federal and state tax compliance and planning skills.

? Working knowledge of SFAS 109.

? Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to provide cost/benefit analysis and recommendations for change.

? Familiarity with commercial billing and financial packages.

? Experience with MS Office suite.


Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day.
