Responsibilities include the management of  the company?s non-income taxes, including Sales/Use, Property, and Business licenses.  This position has supervisory responsibilities including the monitoring and reviewing of the work of three analysts.  Responsible for compliance, planning and audits, and interfacing with internal/external clients and consultants.  Position emphasizes tax and auto leasing knowledge, plus effective case management to minimize the company's tax cost consistent with laws and regulations. 

 

Specifically in this role you will:
?  Monitor tax legislation, regulations, rulings, etc. affecting tax compliance and coordinate implementation of required systems changes.
?  Research tax issues, develop and present audit protests, and prepare other professional memos and reports to assist in favorable outcomes.
?  Maintain systems to gather data for tax filings and special projects, and participate in systems projects and process improvements.


Position requires seven or more years of directly related professional experience in multi-state Sales & Use Tax and Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Advanced degree or CPA certification is a plus, as is some Property Tax experience. Thorough computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and mainframe financial applications. Proficiency in SAP, Vertex, LeMans and Shaw systems is a plus. Position requires tax knowledge plus good written and verbal communication and research skills to resolve both tax issues and systems/process improvements. Occasional day or overnight travel.
