Tax Manager Position Summary:

- Corporate federal and state tax planning

- Corporate tax filings for all legal entities

- State Registration -- state withholding taxes and authority to do business

- State Licensing -- comply with state PEO licensing requirements and monitor ongoing requirements

- SUTA tax compliance and management -- register to obtain state ID#s and file returns

- Federal compliance -- 941, 940, W-2 and all other payroll tax compliance

- Relationship with independent CPAs -- regarding quarterly agreed upon procedures and related report

- Penalties and interest -- address any IRS or other state penalty and interest letters

- Research and resolve client payroll/PEO tax issues

- Pricing -- provide input as to pricing for multi-state clients and decide which entity to setup client

- Update the Legal Entity and Tax Identification schedule

- Update the Tax Returns Due Date By Legal Entity Schedule

- Tax Updates -- provide tax updates to management, clients, HRSMs and PEO Managers

- Tax upgrades to PeopleSoft and reconcile any out of balances

- Decisions regarding payroll and corporate tax subscriptions/research service

- Degree Preferred, CPA a plus, with minimum of 2 years work experience working with filed 941s and state unemployment tax filings.

- Payroll Company or PEO experience preferable along with the ability to work with limited supervision, attention to detail and professional communication skills.

- Experience with Master Tax and TALX systems preferred.

- Experienced dealing with Compliance with State and Federal tax authorities and State Licensing Boards.
