The Parrott Partnership is a top 25 CPA firm in Portland and has been serving its clients for twenty years.  We are dedicated to serving our clients needs in tax mitigation and reporting.  Our firm provides a variety of services centered around taxation including all tax compliance services for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts.  We also specialize in strategic tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and a variety of other tax related services. 

 

The Tax Senior will provide services for clients with a primary focus on tax preparation and tax planning.  Our clients include Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and individuals.  The primary goal for the tax analyst will be to provide advanced tax preparation skills and general accounting closings for firm clients as well as to provide tax planning analysis for more complex situations. 

 

In this position, you will work with the Principal members of the firm as well as other management in coordinating outstanding client service.  Advancement opportunities will be available. 

 

Responsibilities: Successfully complete the preparation of client returns and other tax engagements Work with Principals and managers on client engagements Keep up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Excellent analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Conduct primary preparation of complicated or complex income tax returns including Corporate, S-Corp., partnership, trust, estate and individual clients. Research tax matters General accounting closing skills Maintain active communication with firm management to ensure client satisfaction and to make sure deadlines are met. Attend professional development seminars on a regular basis. Perform other job-related duties as necessary. Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and related technology.

 

Qualifications: At least three years of tax experience in a public accounting firm Excellent compliance skills Experience with corporate taxation, partnerships, trusts and individuals Excellent verbal and written communications skills Service-oriented CPA designation preferred BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting is required Client-focused and results-driven
