Tax Supervisor/Mutual Funds

Using discretion and judgment, under the direction of the Tax Manager, provides technical expertise to Fund Treasury employees as well as members of the Compliance Department and Legal Department, portfolio managers  and outside Fund auditors relating to Federal and state income tax matters affecting mutual funds.  Understands and provides guidance to Fund Treasury employees as well as other departments and outside Fund auditors on simple and moderately complex tax issues.  Working with the Tax Manager and other members of the Fund Treasury management team, helps to assure that tax policy for the funds is communicated to Fund Treasury employees and other  departments and carried out accurately and efficiently.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.  Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience, preferably CPA and/or MST candidate.

 

2.  Minimum four ? six years tax-specific experience in public accounting, tax department, of mutual fund complex or other equivalent experience.

 

3.  Strong written communication skills preferably in business writing, and strong oral skills preferably with some experience in public speaking.

 

4.  Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact in a positive manner with Fund Treasury employees as well as other departments and outside Fund auditors.
