Technical Advisor

The Technical Advisor will play a key role in developing BPs internal control policies and procedures. This includes developing the approach and ensuring compliance with external requirements related to internal control over financial reporting, Sarbanes Oxley Section 404, managing the quarterly due diligence process, and preparing the annual management assessment. 


Accountabilities Include:

Develop, maintain, and communicate BPs internal control framework.
Articulate philosophy, policy and related procedures, including internal control documentation and evaluation, deficiency evaluation and reporting, annual self assessment, and analysis of internal audit findings.
Contribute to the development and documentation of managements assessment of internal control.
Provide internal control consulting services to business segment teams.
Maintain content of the Financial Control and Accounting internal control training offering, including content and delivery.


Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Technical Advisor applicants must have:

Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
Minimum of eight years experience with audit, general audit, and/or financial control and accounting.
Minimum of five years of experience with Information Technology (IT) technical audits, systems implementations, and risk management.
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, IT, or related discipline.
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word.
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Willingness and ability to relocate to or commute on a daily basis to Warrenville, IL without company assistance.


Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

Big 4 external audit experience.
MBA Degree.
CPA certification.
SAP experience.
