Description

The AICPA has announced that it is relocating a substantial portion of its operations to Durham, NC. As a result, we have openings for Technical Managers of Professional Ethics Enforcement (Independence/Behavioral Standards).

Through the AICPA?s ethics enforcement process, help protect the public and maintain high professional standards of practice by CPAs. Restore confidence in the integrity, objectivity, competence, and professionalism of CPAs by enforcing professional ethics standards for the profession and assist AICPA members in continually improving their professional conduct and performance.

ResponsibilitiesInvestigate allegations of AICPA members who may have violated ethics standards, specifically relating to independence and behavioral matters; Identify possible violations of the ethics standards and present findings to the AICPA Independence/Behavioral Standards Subcommittee (IND/BHS) for consideration; Prosecute cases before the AICPA Joint Trial Board; Work closely with IND/BHS committee members and state CPA societies? ethics committees as part of the investigation process.

RequirementsBachelor's degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; A minimum of 4 years public accounting experience; Solid written and verbal communication skills; Excellent presentation skills; Excellent project management skills and organizational abilities; Proficient in Microsoft Window applications.
