Technology Senior Analyst
Job Description -- The Technology Senior Analyst position is part of the IFS Finance team and provides technology support to IFS Finance. He/she works to solve technology issues/problems and seeks opportunities to improve the IFS Finance processes by enabling technologies. The Analyst facilitates the use of proper project management processes to deliver the solution. Recognize areas for improvement with the team, the process and technology and takes appropriate action to initiate the change. Leads multiple projects and partners with the business owner to develop the technology solution. May participate in the decision making process.
? Responsibilities include the maintenance and support of all IFS Finance applications and processes which utilize technology
? Propose, plan, design, implement and support efficient and cost effective technology solutions
? Promotes the use of effective project management processes and, where applicable, works with full development life cycle, which includes: User requirements, user design, technical design, detailed design, programming, testing, production, documentation, implementation and support
? Resolves technical issues and researches best practices for the monitoring, support, maintenance, and implementation of the technology solutions.
? Solves technical problems or recommend alternative solutions to team members and leaders
? Produces structured code based on the documented requirements and based upon prescribes PwC methodology
? Prepares and maintains system documentation and accurately document process flows and procedures
? Must be able to analyze/translate business needs into effective technical solutions
? Obtain a detailed understanding of IFS Finance; its customers and technology needs
? Manages expectations of the customer and provides quality customer service at all times.
? As part of a team, work with leaders/owners of the process or service to understand current practices and identify areas for improvement
? Coordinate training on new or enhanced technology solutions
? Maintain a good working knowledge of the technology solutions and be able to adjust due to changes in PwC?s technology platforms/software
? Assist with the identification of issues and opportunities driven by MS Office/Lotus Notes/Oracle upgrades
? Responsible for daily administration/support of existing databases and ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place
? Analyzes issues and creates timely solutions to meet operational needs.
? Required to interface with US IT technologists and teams to provide requirements, develop appropriate procedures, analyze performance data, and implement solutions.
? Escalates very complex issues as appropriate
? Provides input in defining common processes and procedures
? Implements patches, updates, and fixes as suggested by external vendors and USIT
? Develops macros/utilities to automate repetitive tasks and works to refine/update these utilities
? Liaisons with USIT to implement upgrades and new products
? Liaisons with USIT to provide requirements needed for IFS Finance
? Responds to application alerts that are generated, performs corrective action as necessary
? Follows firm standards and best practices
? May participate or assist in leading special projects
? Other duties as assigned

? Four year degree in any business/ technical area or equivalent experience is preferred
? Three plus years relevant work experience.

? Prior technical experience supporting Oracle-based applications either as a developer or a application administrator

? Thorough, detailed follow-up and administrative skills
? Adaptable to a changing environment, be able to multitask assignments and be a team player
? Excellent troubleshooting skills
? Working knowledge of the IFS Finance group, their business processes and IT requirements.

Oracle
? 2 years of experience in Oracle programming.
? Experience with:
? SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and packages.
? Experience with Cognos, Crystal Reports, SAP or similar reporting tool
? Experience developing in a Web environment a plus.
Lotus Notes
? Minimum of one to two years of development experience with Lotus Notes/Domino
R5+.
XML
? Experience in XML programming language
