Our trusted, road-tested tours to Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, the South Pacific, the United States, and Canada create a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Through Explorica tours, students learn that foreign language, history, literature, science or the arts don?t have to stay in the classroom. 

 

Position
Explorica is seeking a full time Senior Accountant to work in our corporate headquarters overlooking Boston Common.  Responsibilities include:

 

- Maintain G/L accuracy of four entities

- Monitor internal controls and procedures

- Assist in Day to Day accounting functions

- Month end close duties

- Monthly Cash Flow analysis

- Yearly audit preparation

- System development

- Inter-company reconciliation

- Oversee one Staff Accountant

- Report to Controller

 

Qualifications
We seek employees who are motivated, can work independently, are well organized, and have excellent interpersonal skills. BS in Accounting required. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of bookkeeping and general ledger experience, an excellent work ethic, and the ability to multi-task. Candidate should have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Experience with the accounting software Great Plains is an advantage although not required.
