Trade Promotions Analyst

Summary:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities relative to maintaining and monitoring trade promotion spending and reconciling deductions.  Specifically, this position will be directly responsible for tracking and analyzing trade promotion dollars spent with customers as well as assisting in resolving discrepancies between the projected promotional spend and actual dollars deducted.  The Trade Promotions Analyst will work closely with various other departments to resolve deductions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Acts as gatekeeper of all trade promotion documentation.

? Enters and maintains approved trade promotion plans into the Navision ERP system.

? Ensures all trade promotion deductions and payments are recorded, and remaining funds meet outstanding commitments.

? Communicates with various internal departments, customers, brokers and/or sales representatives to resolve deductions, payments and chargebacks.

? Responsible for collection of unauthorized deductions.

? Provides regular reporting relating to cleared and outstanding deductions and projected future spending.

 

Education and/or Experience

? 3 - 5 years of related experience.

? BA/BS in Finance, Business, or Marketing.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access a plus.

? Previous experience with ERP systems and/or business intelligence tools preferred.

? Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects while setting priorities.

? Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

? Team-oriented, well organized and focused on details.

? Proactive, problem solver who works well under pressure.
