Trades Payable Supervisor - Temporary Position

Wilbur-Ellis Company has a short-term Trades Payable Supervisor position available.  This will be a 3-4 month position.

General Responsibilities: 

 

The Trade Payable Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining a thorough understanding of Wilbur-Ellis Trades Payable processes to ensure that system functionality and performance meet current and future requirements.  The Trade Payable Supervisor will work closely with the Trade Payable staff to ensure they are receiving appropriate support and training. The Trades Payable Supervisor will work closely with Branches and the technical IT staff to interpret business strategies and objectives to support and implement appropriate solutions around the Trades Payable Processes.  The Trade Payable supervisor acts as a conduit to the branches for proper inventory transactions in JDE, support the purchasing agents on the proper processing of purchase orders and provide support for any trades payable related questions.



Specific Responsibilities:

 

? Supervise the Trades Payable staff

? Work with Purchasing department to process all purchase orders correctly

? Work with branches on stuck sales

? IT support for all branch related issues to inventory transactions relating

? Trades payable department and purchase orders

? Planning and coordinating payables process flow for seasonality

? Documenting processes and procedures

? Purchase Price Variance supervision

? Ability to train staff on the use of JDE

? Support supplier direct transactions

? Perform Margin Analysis

? Supervise Agency accountant

? Monitor rebate tracking to verify accuracy

? Monitor and correct unvouchered receipts

? Perform Special Projects as needed

? Troubleshooting end user and system related issues in Trades Payable

? Ability to analyze and provide solutions for business issues In Trades Payable

? Determining test requirements and reviewing test results for evaluating system changes in Trades Payable

 

 Qualifications:

 Must have a minimum of 3 years of AP supervisory experience Must have JD Edwards system experience Must have thorough knowledge of AP processes Must have manufacturing and retail accounting background on a large scale ( 200 branches) Must understand and have knowledge of Margin Review Process Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience will be considered Excellent communication skills in working with resources from varying levels within the organization Highly motivated, organized, detail oriented, and a team player Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively Proficient in Excel, Word, and Access
