Open Position:
Manager, Transaction Support Services

Background/Work Experience Required:
? Four to five years experience working in the Transaction support and/or Audit Practice of a national public accounting firm.
? Bachelor?s degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
? CPA certification or International equivalent.
? Ability to travel 20%-40% of time spent on out of town projects.

Additional Experience Preferred but not Required
? Masters in Business Administration.
? Private industry experience as a controller or financial analyst.

Interpersonal Skills/Characteristics:
? The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact effectively with internal and external clients in the firm. External clients will typically include private equity investor groups and banks as well as the firm?s traditional tax, audit and consulting clients.
? The successful candidate will possess a good balance of strong audit skills and business acumen.
? Ability to be a self-starter and to be confident when interacting with clients and asking questions.
? Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
? Excellent team player that is able to work with tight deadlines and to take responsibility for getting the job done well and on time.
? Flexibility regarding out of town travel with approximately 20%-40% of time spent on out of town projects.

Specific Responsibilities and Authorities:
The person in this position works closely with the Director and/or other team members to perform the following:

? Performs as part of a team performing financial and operational due diligence engagements for clients who are buying businesses. One of the primary goals of this position would be an ability to manage a project from start to finish, including report delivery and managing client expectations. This goal should be achieved within a year at the most.
? Prepares financial projection models to help clients evaluate their financing requirements and the true operating capacity of the business.
? Participates in client meetings and site visits and interacts with clients to gather information.
? Uses various software tools as designated by the firm.
? Interacts with the other functional areas of the practice including tax, audit, and ongoing and prospective engagements.
? Attends select networking events to meet potential and existing clients.
? Assists in scoping prospective projects, preparing engagement letters and managing budgets.
? Represents the Firm in community activities and professional associations.
