Title: Transfer Pricing Manager

Reports to:  Senior Tax Manager ? International

Location: Westport

 

Position Description

The scope of this role is to spearhead all aspects or the transfer pricing process at TEREX, including the gathering of information, determining best methods, and generating transfer prices and documentation.  The objective is to establish efficient transfer pricing methods which produce well-documented and supportable transfer prices which are advantageous to TEREX within the applicable laws.


Key Tasks: Prepare a transfer pricing analysis of each of the businesses using the CrossBorder Solutions software packageSystematically gather information needed for the analysis in CrossBorder Solutions and sufficient to meet the documentation requirements in all relevant jurisdictions.In conjunction with the Senior Tax Manager ? International, develop transfer pricing planning strategies to minimize tax liability.Communicate transfer pricing methodologies to operating units and support implementation of the best method for each operating unit

 

Challenges in the first 12 months

 

? Communicate the new TEREX global transfer pricing policy to operating units and implement procedures

? Understand the geographically and organizationally diverse operating units and product lines of a global company

? Understand transfer pricing and documentation rules of multiple jurisdictions (principally U.S., Germany, U.K., Italy, Australia)

? Enhance documentation for recent prior year transfer prices for goods, services, royalties and management service fees

 

 

Minimum Required Qualifications



Level of education required:  An undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting or Economics.  A CTA, MBA or JD would be a plus.

Language Requirements: A second language would be an advantage.

Travel:  15% - 20%

Experience:  The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of public/private accounting experience, including some transfer pricing experience. Experience with (i.e., in-house or advising) a manufacturing company is ideal, but not essential.
