Treasury Loan Accounting Supervisor

Oversee the treasury accounting function within the financial accounting department.  Keep General Accounting Manager informed of issues pertaining to internal controls, reconciliations, and potential GAAP issues. Perform all duties in accordance with GAAP, AMC policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

- Supervise the treasury accounting staff

- Review all reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the accounting staff

- Prepare quarterly financial statement footnotes as they relate to treasury accounting

- Perform technical research as needed and technical guidance to the accounting staff

- Oversight of the PeopleSoft treasury accounting module

- Review and develop Accounting Department policies and procedures

- Coordinate ongoing Sarbanes Oxley compliance

- Review and note any issues with internal controls

- Coordinate quarterly audit reviews

- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent organization skills

- Excellent technical accounting kills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient in research and reconciliations

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 

- Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent

- 3-5 years relevant experience

- Previous supervisory experience required

- Sarbanes Oxley section 404 compliance

- Previous financial services experience preferred
