Utility Account Payable Service Specialist

Performs routine professional accounting duties involving the compiling, recording, payment, analysis and reporting of utility information for internal use or to meet external reporting requirements.

3.???? Reviews utility invoices and transactions for accurate and timely processing assuring proper billing and coding.

?Reviews and posts to independent utility logs for both common areas and resident suites for accurate and timely processing.

?Prepares correspondence and interfaces with other accounting personnel and persons inside and outside the company as necessary to verify information and resolve discrepancies.

?Responds to vendor and property associate inquiries, conducting detailed research and investigation as needed, in a timely manner.

7.??????? May be required to personally train, or coordinate the training of, existing and new personnel on computer software applications that are used within the department.

Education and Experience (Required/Preferred)

?

Skills and abilities normally associated with completion of high school or GED program. Some related college coursework or completion of a bookkeeping or accounting certification program preferred.?

Minimum two years experience in a Senior A/P Service Specialist and with completion of a four-year college degree in accounting or equivalent experience.? Comprehensive knowledge of company operations as gained through experience within Forest City preferred.
