Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, promptly researches vendor correspondence related to shortage claims, past due invoices, and any other vendor related issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1.Researches credits received from suppliers on shortages and price protection and allowance rebates; resolves differences if needed.
2.Responsible for prompt response to all telephone calls and emails from vendors by providing copies and or contacting appropriate personnel to ensure quick resolution.
3.Interacts frequently via written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues.
4.Performs research on shortage and pricing claims and repays or denies according to divisional and buyer responses.
5.May assist other Accounts Payable Clerks in departmental initiatives.
6.Must be willing to work overtime hours, as needed, in order to meet departmental objectives.
7.Performs related duties as assigned.


Educational Details
Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, or similar vocations is a plus. Completion of a high school degree or equivalent certification is required. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years related experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
