VP Accounting

MIVA, a dynamic public company, is seeking a talented accounting professional to fill the position of VP of Accounting position. Desired candidate will lead the accounting function and have extensive knowledge of accounting principles gained from experience with either a SEC-registered public company and/or a national public accounting firm. Position reports directly to the CFO.

Principal Accountabilities:

? Manage timely compliance with all SEC filings, including forms 10Q and 10K
? Lead Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 readiness efforts
? Perform research and analysis of technical accounting and reporting issues
? Interpret and implement all applicable SEC and GAAP pronouncements
? Develop Company financial policies and procedures
? Participate in monthly and quarterly financial close, including assisting with the quarterly analyst call
? Ability to manage a global accounting team
? Willingness to travel between the US and Europe


Experience and Skills:
To be successful in this position you must have the following:

? International/ global operations experience is a plus
? Solid current working knowledge of GAAP
? Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance
? Strong technical accounting and SEC research and interpretation skills
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
? Proven commitment to highest ethical standards
? The ability to multi-task and delegate is extremely critical.

Education/Certification/Special Skills:

? Minimum 10+ plus years of SEC reporting experience with a publicly traded company and/or as an external auditor with a national public accounting firm
? Must possess advanced skills in spreadsheet preparation, preferably using Excel
? Strong Presence, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are required.
? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to a non-technical accounting audience.
? Must possess team-building skills.
? Effective analytical skills with an attention to detail
? CPA; MBA a plus
